Lao Zhai
Lao Zhai is a small village an hour or so by bus from the town of Mengzi. The markets in both Mengzi and Lao Zhai are visited by tribal groups from the surrounding mountains. They wear some of the most remarkable costumes and headdresses I have seen anywhere in Yunnan or indeed South West China.
